Why do most people who claim to be pro-life make an exception in the cases of rape and incest?

If the logic is that the life of the unborn is innocent, then would the unborn produced by rape and incest be any less innocent?Why do most people who claim to be pro-life make an exception in the cases of rape and incest?
If they truly believe in the innocence of an unborn child then there is only one reason to make an exception. They don't want to be vilified by those who see them as having no sympathy for the plight of others. You're absolutely correct. I think this is a rhetorical question really. It has more to do with a value judgement on the part of the pro-lifers, fallacious as the value judgement may be. They think that a normal pregnancy caused by consentual sex is ';right'; and if the woman accidentally got pregnant or didn't take precautions or just doesn't want the child for whatever reason - tough luck. Now, it's a whole other story if the woman was victimized in some way. Then *of course* she should be able to get rid of the baby because she didn't do anything ';wrong'; to get pregnant. Very similar to the guilty vs. innocent AIDS infection theories.
In cases of incest the unborn child can be born with many different problems and especially if the mother is a teen just having a baby is enough to deal with....As for rape cases I have no answer on that one...unless it's just the thought of how the baby was put there, it could cause a normally stable woman to have massive flashbacks and in turn she could possibly take it out on the child physically or mentally...Rape tends to mess with a woman's mind, I know...been there done that...

Actually, It should not hppen period. They do this as a compromise, realising that perhaps this might be a good medium

BTW James Robison was the product of rape. (For those that don't know, he has a Ministry opuout of Euless,Tx. he has a feed the children ministry for Africa too. Many many lives saved because of this one man.
