Are there any cases of seals attacking humans?
i just recently took up some night swimming which is the only way for me to get a comfortable nights sleep, and compared to the day there are alot more seals that can be seen at night. I saw a arrested development episode were Busters hand was bitten off by a seal. Are there any shown cases of seal attacks and have you ever been attacked by a seal?Are there any cases of seals attacking humans?

A leather case would be good because it will absorb some of the impact. So it would be worth it because your ipod will last longer. A little rubber one won't do much more than just protect it from fingerprints and scratches...

For example, when I was going to get a case for my friend's Ipod, I went and looked in the ARGOS book, because they have low prices, and turned to the Ipod page. I looked at the cases and then saw the price. 拢18????? So I left it then went into an ordinary supermarket. I saw the cutest little gold case with a silver jewel charm and it cost 拢2. Do you know why? It wasn't made by APPLE (the company that make IPOD). But I bought it anyway and it hasn't broken or torn at all. So what I'm saying is...don't go by the designer brand. Go by the quality and price.

Hello Lacey. If it helps at all, warrents will not expire. Once in the computer here in Ohio, they stay active and just wait. That also means a visit in front of the judge. You can call the Clerk of Courts to find out what is owed, but plan on being detained long enough to satisfy the court system. Show up with at least half of the fine plus another hundred or so for personal bond. Do not show up on a Monday morning or after a major holiday. The courts are busiest then. Come in early in the morning Tuesday thru Friday and chances are excellent you will see the Judge by midday. Dress respectful to the court, dont show an attitude and with just a little luck the Judge will allow a bond so hubby can come home. Many times warrants are set for people, we enter them and next thing you know the person pays down at court for their fines and the court recalls the warrant, thus the person is not ';arrested'; in our system and never booked.

You can call the Clerk of Courts to find out what is owed, but plan on being detained long enough to satisfy the court system. Show up with at least half of the fine plus another hundred or so for personal bond. Do not show up on a Monday morning or after a major holiday. The courts are busiest then. Come in early in the morning Tuesday thru Friday and chances are excellent you will see the Judge by midday. Dress respectful to the court, dont show an attitude and with just a little luck the Judge will allow a bond so hubby can come home. My ex and I are going through a divorce and a custody issue. He had tried to get an Emergency custody for our 3 yr old daughter before for allegations on my son but got denied because of no proof. Now he has tried again but this time for sexual abuse and accusing 2 more of my sons. It's all false and now they granted him custody until our next court hearing in a couple weeks. The court has become more wary of these type cases and less prepared to believe abuse actually happened when the accusing spouse has never made thes allegations until divorce proceedings are begun. as there is no medical evidence of these allegations they stay allegations and not truth.
be mindful of the fathers influence of your daughter - but at least she wont be called to testify in court.
you could see that she is mentally and physically examined before the trial for your defence against the allegations - its not nice to consider but at least shes young enough not to remember the ordeal.
you need to disprove the allegations in order to gain custody - speak to your solicitor or social services for advice.
you will have to have ur daughter testify... and your sons.. and as long as there is no proof he cant take her forever... but think about it... if he really wants your daughter... and he is going to take care of her.. why not just let him have her and get really good visitation rights... divorce doesnt have to be so rough.

I did the consultation with ortho doctor he referred me to do some kind of tests in the blood, finally we get the test report with high level of Uric acid (5.5mg) and C reactive Protien level.The x ray report shows that the joints are become weak and there is no formation of uric acid crystals in the joints............Which are the cases the uric acid and C reactive protien level increases in the blood?

Here's the situation:
We have two heating units in a single level house. One heats the den, kitchen, living room, dining room and two baths. The other unit heats the 4 bedrooms and one master bath. Return #1 is in the den beside the hallway. Return #2 is in the same hallway centered among the doors to the bedrooms. For Unit #2 the vents to the master bedroom and bath are closed. The vents in the other three bedrooms are open. Only one of these bedrooms is being used. It's my mom's who leaves her door closed all the time.
My mom says we are wasting money heating the two empty bedrooms. I say we have to leave them open so the unit will get circulated air. If I close off the two empty bedrooms, the only one with an active heat vent has the doors closed which will cause the unit to run unnecessarily costing even more money.
I say both units have to be running.

Each register if open must have a path to a return air. It would be different if each bedroom had a separate return air along with a heat register in the room. As far as heat loss is concerned, you must first realize that the bedroom outside walls are insulated thus minimizing heat loss to the outside. Now if you shut heat off to these rooms, and the rooms cool off enough, remember that the interior walls to these rooms are more than likely not insulated, so now these walls can be concidered cold partions which will add heat loss to the smaller space being heated. Overall, it is probably a wash as far as which method will use less btu's to heat the house. The problem I see is that once you start shutting down too many registers, you cause a larger static duct pressure on the supply ( heat side of the system), thus creating more air velocity in other registers but overall, causing a drop in cfm over the heat exchanger in the furnace. A PCM ( ac motor ) is designed to work properly or most efficiently with a .5 static duct pressure. shutting off registers increases the static duct pressure.
now you create more expensive problems.
1. more static duct pressure means larger current draw on the blower motor.........meaning costs more electricity to maintain motor rpm.
2. with less cfm over the heat exchanger, you now have a higher heat exchanger operating temperature perhaps outside of the designed temperature differential. If a furnace is designed for a 40 to 80 degree rise from the return air to the supply air, this must be within these limits.
over time, too high operating temp causes cracks in heat exchanger.
too high exhaust temp if a 55% efficient furnace will cause poor natural draft and premature condensation as well as if the exhaust gas were too low a temp.
Same situation in a 80% design furnace, except that now you have a combustion fan to fail now as well or cause the temp limit control on the combustion fan housing to trip.
Bottom line is that if the duct system was initially designed by a heating company or a competent contractor, changing the airflow of the system in the long run only causes damage to the equipment.
Its hilarious when people shut off registers to bedrooms and shut the doors and I go find a cold air return in the room also that was drawing in cold air to the furnace on every cycle, and they wondered why the heat didn't feel as warm elsewhere in the house. well my friend bought the first one on the list. its a nice case but it recently went out on him because of the red led lights that are in the case fried his mother board somehow. i would go with one without a power supply because most of the time they are cheaper. plus if your going to be doing some really high demand gaming your gonna need bigger then 400 watts. alot of the times on tiger direct you can find pretty cheap and good power supplies for cheap on the site just look at the reveiws before you buy it. its better to spend a few extra bucks on your computer just to not have to deal with all the bull crap that comes with paying for cheap hardware.Can you please tell me if I should buy any of these computer cases?

In the case of rape/incest/abuse I would say that the person should have to go thru some major counseling sessions first and if she is in severe emotional danger then I would be ok with it. In the case of the pregnancy being life threatening: Pregnancy is not a suicide situation. If the mother chooses to live then she has the right to do so. It may be in that situation she needs to have some life saving procedure that would endanger the child inside her such as chemo therapy.

I have thought about this quite a bit over the years. The wide spread of opinions is incredible, matched only by the passion of the activists on all sides. This is an issue that few people are even able to have a civilized discussion about. Complicating it further is that there are few that hold a black-and-white view of the issue. The majority of people in the US see abortion as a giant grey area with varying degrees of abortion considered acceptable. Very few people hold the position of unlimited abortion access or no abortion under any circumstances. Below is the process I went through to come up with my position on the matter.
First, I asked myself the question at what point does a human being obtain ';personhood'; and as such gain all the legal and moral protections that status entitles them to? There are some who say that the point of personhood is 28 days AFTER birth, at which point you still should be allowed to abort. In fact, there is a professor of ethics at Princeton University that actively advocates this position. This is the position that spurred “Born Alive” legislation that says if a woman has an abortion and the baby survives, that doctors cannot withhold care and let the baby die on the operating table. Others say up to the point of birth. These folks, such as Barak Obama, would hold that this type of infanticide as well as partial birth abortion is a reasonable procedure. Or perhaps just before while the mother is in labor. Or 6 months of gestation or 3 months or three weeks. I wrestled with this for a long time.
Then I looked at the issue a different way. Does human life have an imputed value or an intrinsic one? If we say that it is imputed, meaning the value is derived from something else, some outside criteria, then any one of the above positions would be equally valid. We as a society would decide what criteria to select. My problem with this is what criteria do you use? On what basis is a baby at 6 weeks more valuable than a baby at 5 weeks? Is a baby that has not yet developed a heart still a baby? This hit really hard on my wife and I when we lost one of our children. Lynne had a miscarriage a few years ago. When people with strong pro-choice sentiments gave us their condolences, they referred to the fetus as a child, even though she (we named her Grace, even though we do not know for sure if she was a she or a he. It made it easier to explain to the children what happened and easier for Lynne and I to grieve our loss) was at the same gestational point, 9 weeks, that they believed abortion was merely removing some unwanted tissue of the mother. So, the criteria used is whether or not a child is wanted. If that is so, then why? The characteristics of an object of any sort are not contingent on another persons belief for perception.
By similar logic, if the value of human life is imputed, it can also be taken away, depending on what some person or group of persons believe that life is worth. So if you happen to be mentally retarded or black or Jewish, it would be perfectly reasonable for you to be killed off for the good of the community if they believe it. I have a friend who is paralyzed from the neck down and constantly in pain. There are some in the world who would look at her and say that she has no quality of life or that the money and effort to support her would be better used on others. They would have her die due to her handicap. But knowing her the way I do I find the notion that she is without a quality of life to be ridiculous on its face. She is a writer, a painter, a social worker, and heads up an international charity. I’d call that a pretty good quality of life. So would her husband who married her years after her accident put her in the wheelchair. Thus, the imputed value logic is shown to me to be completely arbitrary. Following any of the “prior to this point it is not human but at this one on it is” positions is likewise arbitrary and does not answer the question of personhood.
But consider the proposition that human life has an intrinsic value. That it is valuable simply because it is human life and no other reason. No measure or quantification of the value of it, it is and that is enough. It is sort of like gold. Gold is valuable because it is gold, not because we as a society stood up one day and said, “we are going to make gold valuable”. Gold has an intrinsic value as opposed to an imputed value, such as paper currency. Paper currency is worthless in and of itself. It has value only because we say it has a certain value.
This position then would support a clear line between human life and not human life. With this position, you are a human at the point that you have a unique genetic code. In other words, at conception. Prior to that, there was no “you”. The male and female reproductive components in and of themselves are not a unique genetic code, but merely parts of the donors. It is only when they combine to create new life do “you” begin to

Its the same as ';you shouldn't murder, so se should have capital punishment to punish murderers';. The have an underlying moral, and don't realize when that they are changing it depending on the situation.

What disturbs me most about the abortion question is that it is dominated by the extremists. With extremists there is no dialog, no middle ground, only rancor.

i really dont think the baby would want to know she/he came from rape or incest. is that a good thing, living your life knowing you came from rape? I know my morality would be down the tubes.

I have thought about this quite a bit over the years. The wide spread of opinions is incredible, matched only by the passion of the activists on all sides. This is an issue that few people are even able to have a civilized discussion about. Complicating it further is that there are few that hold a black-and-white view of the issue. The majority of people in the US see abortion as a giant grey area with varying degrees of abortion considered acceptable. Very few people hold the position of unlimited abortion access or no abortion under any circumstances. Below is the process I went through to come up with my position on the matter.
First, I asked myself the question at what point does a human being obtain ';personhood'; and as such gain all the legal and moral protections that status entitles them to? There are some who say that the point of personhood is 28 days AFTER birth, at which point you still should be allowed to abort. In fact, there is a professor of ethics at Princeton University that actively advocates this position. This is the position that spurred “Born Alive” legislation that says if a woman has an abortion and the baby survives, that doctors cannot withhold care and let the baby die on the operating table. Others say up to the point of birth. These folks, such as Barak Obama, would hold that this type of infanticide as well as partial birth abortion is a reasonable procedure. Or perhaps just before while the mother is in labor. Or 6 months of gestation or 3 months or three weeks. I wrestled with this for a long time.
Then I looked at the issue a different way. Does human life have an imputed value or an intrinsic one? If we say that it is imputed, meaning the value is derived from something else, some outside criteria, then any one of the above positions would be equally valid. We as a society would decide what criteria to select. My problem with this is what criteria do you use? On what basis is a baby at 6 weeks more valuable than a baby at 5 weeks? Is a baby that has not yet developed a heart still a baby? This hit really hard on my wife and I when we lost one of our children. Lynne had a miscarriage a few years ago. When people with strong pro-choice sentiments gave us their condolences, they referred to the fetus as a child, even though she (we named her Grace, even though we do not know for sure if she was a she or a he. It made it easier to explain to the children what happened and easier for Lynne and I to grieve our loss) was at the same gestational point, 9 weeks, that they believed abortion was merely removing some unwanted tissue of the mother. So, the criteria used is whether or not a child is wanted. If that is so, then why? The characteristics of an object of any sort are not contingent on another persons belief for perception.
By similar logic, if the value of human life is imputed, it can also be taken away, depending on what some person or group of persons believe that life is worth. So if you happen to be mentally retarded or black or Jewish, it would be perfectly reasonable for you to be killed off for the good of the community if they believe it. I have a friend who is paralyzed from the neck down and constantly in pain. There are some in the world who would look at her and say that she has no quality of life or that the money and effort to support her would be better used on others. They would have her die due to her handicap. But knowing her the way I do I find the notion that she is without a quality of life to be ridiculous on its face. She is a writer, a painter, a social worker, and heads up an international charity. I’d call that a pretty good quality of life. So would her husband who married her years after her accident put her in the wheelchair. Thus, the imputed value logic is shown to me to be completely arbitrary. Following any of the “prior to this point it is not human but at this one on it is” positions is likewise arbitrary and does not answer the question of personhood.
But consider the proposition that human life has an intrinsic value. That it is valuable simply because it is human life and no other reason. No measure or quantification of the value of it, it is and that is enough. It is sort of like gold. Gold is valuable because it is gold, not because we as a society stood up one day and said, “we are going to make gold valuable”. Gold has an intrinsic value as opposed to an imputed value, such as paper currency. Paper currency is worthless in and of itself. It has value only because we say it has a certain value.
This position then would support a clear line between human life and not human life. With this position, you are a human at the point that you have a unique genetic code. In other words, at conception. Prior to that, there was no “you”. The male and female reproductive components in and of themselves are not a unique genetic code, but merely parts of the donors. It is only when they combine to create new life do “you” begin to

If a mother's life is in danger, you do a C-section and do everything possible to save the life of the mother and the child.
In the case of rape or incest, kill the rapist not the baby.
I believe that those who sexually abuse children should be executed on the first offense.
I believe that all the guys who get caught on Dateline NBC's ';To Catch a Predator'; they should have a fair trial of course, but then take them out and shoot them or put a needle into their arm.
