What are the most common cases admitted to a medical admissions unit?

From my time in medicine we most commonly saw chest infections (in winter), ACS (Acute Coronary Syndrome which includes heart attacks (MI) and unstable angina).

I suppoe those were the big two. There were also strokes, infections (skin infections etc) and lots of fairly random things.

Be aware that the most common cases will vary from country to country and that the 'medical' admissions unit may not deal with 'surgical' admissions. What are the most common cases admitted to a medical admissions unit?
