Which are the cases the uric acid and C reactive protien level increases in the blood?

I have a problem of pain and swelling in my joints and dandruff like formation in the scalp. I did the consultation with ortho doctor he referred me to do some kind of tests in the blood, finally we get the test report with high level of Uric acid (5.5mg) and C reactive Protien level. The x ray report shows that the joints are become weak and there is no formation of uric acid crystals in the joints............Which are the cases the uric acid and C reactive protien level increases in the blood?
It sounds like you have gout or some form of arthritis. You have to check what foods that you eat that are high in uric acid and try to avoid this.

Based on my studies and experience, CRP or C reactive protein is not only a future marker of a cardiovascular event but it is also a marker for infection/inflammation. CRP is usually elevated in people with some form of arthritis during acute inflammation. The possible explanation why your CRP level is high because you have an ongoing inflammation on the joints. Most likely the doctor will order another CRP level check to see if the inflammation is resolving.Which are the cases the uric acid and C reactive protien level increases in the blood?
looks like you have an autoimmune disease. with the joint pain coupled with the dandruff, its a hard diagnosis. I would say psoriasis with the dandruffy stuff, and gout with the high uric acid, but with no crsytals in joints, looks like that was ruled out. High uric acid can also signal cardiovasular problems or high cholesterol. CRP is also a marker of future cardiovacular events.. .make sure they check your cholesterol statins have been proven to lower both of these levels. There is so much information out there, and this can be a marker of so many things. You need to continue to seek medical attention. Drink PLENTY of fluids and stay away from purine containing foods.... which are meat and alcohol, mushrooms, asparagus, anchoives, and things like beef broth and consumme. I hope everything works out for you. They need to rule a lot out for you and i hope it works out
