Will automatic sliding card cases damage my business cards?

Sliding cases seem to work better with thicker business cards. The average business card thickness is 12pt, so anything 14pt, 15pt, or 16pt would work best. These thicker sizes are more durable and much less suseptible to damage from sliding cases.

Automatic sliding card cases may damage your business card but not really by very much. the worst case would be slight blunting of the part where the slider pushes it out if your business card is made out of a relatively thin kind of paper. An advantage of a sliding card case though is that it will protect your business card from crumpling or dents.





If you're leaning towards buying one to try it out, why not but for me you can't go wrong with classic business card cases or holders. It's not really that hard to pull one out anyway :)
